High-Precision Sealing Solutions & Custom Engineering for Global Industrial Applications. Standard & Bespoke Specifications direct from our IATF 16949 Certified Production Bases.
Explore our high-performance engineered hose clamps, designed for industrial, automotive, and plumbing applications.
Thumb screw hose clamps (also widely referred to as key-type or butterfly-handle hose clamps) represent a crucial evolution in tool-free fastening technology. Primarily engineered for quick-maintenance setups and localized applications where frequent manual adjustments are required, these fasteners completely eliminate the need for specialized drivers or wrenches during assembly. Featuring a durable plastic or metal molded key integrated onto the head of the worm drive screw, users can easily compress or release the clamping band with their fingers.
Our engineering division at Mika (Tianjin) Pipeline Technology Co., Ltd. prioritizes high-torque stability and optimal material thickness to prevent band deformation. Unlike generic alternatives, our thumb screw clamps feature a smooth underside band design to eliminate localized pipe stress and prevent thin-walled silicone and rubber hoses from extrusion and shearing under high pressures.
Headquartered in the strategic global logistics hub of Tianjin, China, we operate three robust production bases to serve the international automotive and industrial OEM markets.
Our founder, Mr. Zhang Di, brings nearly 15 years of deep industry expertise, steering the company’s trajectory from its origin as the *Jinchaoyang Mould Company* in 2002 to a multi-facility enterprise generating premium connection systems. This foundational expertise in high-precision mold engineering enables us to maintain strict tolerances, guaranteeing that every single clamp produced distributes radial load uniformly.
Mika Pipeline has successfully passed the rigorous auditing process for the IATF 16949:2016 quality management system. This system ensures consistent quality across all components shipped to prominent automotive OEMs (such as GM Wuling, China FAW, BYD, and Changan). In addition, we hold several national utility model patents and independent design certificates that attest to our focus on innovation.
We strictly control all manufacturing procedures to prevent defective parts from advancing along the production line. From packaging to logistics, every process follows structured procedures to ensure complete traceability. We also supply all necessary physical and chemical testing reports to our international partners upon shipment.

Why procurement managers worldwide choose Tianjin Mika Pipeline as their long-term supply partner.
We reinvest 20% of annual sales into automation projects. Our production lines feature multi-station progressive stamping tools and automated assembly systems that reduce labor costs while increasing output stability and dimensional accuracy.
We source raw materials from domestic steel manufacturers. Every inbound batch of SS304, SS316, or carbon steel undergoes mechanical testing for tensile strength, hardness, and chemical composition before entering production.
With three manufacturing bases in Tianjin, Hebei, and Chongqing, we maintain robust logistics. This geographical diversification mitigates systemic supply chain disruptions and ensures rapid dispatch from China's primary ports.
Critical engineering metrics regarding raw material magnetism, surface lubrication, and thermal cycle stress relaxation.
A common misconception is that if a stainless steel hose clamp attracts a magnet, it is of poor quality. In reality, while austenitic grades like 201, 301, 304, and 316 are non-magnetic in their fully annealed state, the cold-rolling process required to achieve high tensile strength and hardness induces a partial phase transformation from face-centered cubic austenite to body-centered tetragonal martensite. This transformation results in magnetic behavior. Cold-working the material is essential to ensure that the band maintains its tightening torque and resists elongation under pressure.
Screw thread lubrication is critical to convert tightening torque into radial clamping force. Our carbon steel screws feature an electro-galvanized layer that provides corrosion protection and acts as a thread lubricant. For stainless steel hardware, we apply an engineered wax compound to prevent thread galling. Using unlubricated stainless steel screws risks premature seizing under load, which can result in low clamping force and joint failure.
In applications subject to thermal cycling—such as automotive charge air pipelines and heavy industrial cooling systems—hoses expand and contract. Standard static clamps cannot adapt to these volumetric changes, which can lead to leaks during cool-down cycles or excessive joint stress during heating. Our spring-loaded clamps utilize a series of Bellevue/disk springs that store potential energy to maintain constant radial pressure despite temperature fluctuations. Proper installation is critical: the spring must not be fully compressed, which would eliminate its ability to flex and accommodate thermal movement.
